Mixed feelings. This is one of my favorite series and it sucks to see it end, but it has been dragging a bit lately for me. Looking forward to the conclusion and the final OVA... and Gate 7 looks like it might hold some promise to soothe the faithful in XXXHolic's wake.

xxxholic: ro? so is that the original manga or some kind of alternate? or has it been called that this whole time and i never knew?
anyway, if it is the original manga i can't wait to see the end

When Tsuasa and xxxHOLiC both "ended", what was originally supposed/believed to be an epilogue for xxxHOLiC continued with the "Rō" title, to show that it's separate from the main continuity. It's set in the future, past the end of the two series (IIRC, it starts at 4 years, and then skips to 10 years). |

Wait wait wait, you mean CLAMP actually *finished* a series?
*ducks the rotten tomatoes* But yeah, good, I'm dying to get started on XXXholic and finish up Tsubasa Chronicles soon. Will help out Borders while I'm doing it!

Holic and tsubasa are not ready for a proper ending, especially one that will be in a few chapters time. is this going to be a bad end, or a new beginning for both franchises?

Dang! I'm only at volume three of the manga.
There's hoping that the ending does not become unnecessarily confusing like Tsubasa Chronicles did. |

o.O It just doesn't seem like it's at a proper place to be ending. I mean, spoiler[we still don't know Doumeki's purpose with the egg], and currently we just keep going through spoiler[some of Watanuki's journeys as being the store owner in place of Yuuko, which in turn could be expanded upon (Could he ever leave the shop like she did? Will his "time" expire like hers did and he will eventually age and die? Could he and Yuuko actually eventually meet somehow? There's a LOT that could be explored)], just to name some things. And as far as I know, isn't xxxHolic still on a monthly release schedule, or did it go back to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule? If it's still on a monthly schedule, I can't see at all how they can complete this in two chapters, unless they were like HUGE chapters.
So I kinda wonder if this is just the end of Ro, meaning this arc, and possibly we're going to be entering another arc of some sort. |

Finally. I love this series but honestly, it should have ended spoiler[with Yuuko. *Sniff* I miss her...]

A lot of your questions are answered by the first XXXHolic: Ro OVA and hopefully it's continuation which comes out in a month or two. |

Ok, with only TWO series CLAMP is working on now (Kobato, monthly, and Gate 7, weekly/monthly?), I'm REALLY hoping this means that they will find a publisher and finish one of their old series! Either Legal Drug or X would do the trick. Oh, and I wouldn't mind CLOVER finishing either!

I really hope they plan to do a second xxxHOLIC manga series or at least something as there is just no way they can stuff all those unanswered questions into two chapters. Watching the OVA hasn't really helped me much, it left me with even more questions.
I think it would be cool if they did a joint manga series, instead of two separate stories, of xxxHOLIC and Tsubasa Chronicles to tie up the loose ends in both series. And OMG I wish CLAMP would finish X! Better yet, finish all their unfinished works! |

There's something I've been wondering. It seems that Production I.G only published Tsubasa and xxxHolic OVAs with manga volumes, but that would mean the final chapters would never be animated as the last volume would contain an adaptation from a previous one. Is Clamp planning to animate the end of Tsubasa xxxHolic?

Reading between the lines, they said xxxholic: Ro will end in Feburary....does that mean there might be a continuation of another ':twosyllableword' manga? Like Ro will finish whatever it's doing now and they'll continue the story later.
