Can someone verify if this is just a re-broadcasting of the OVAs or a whole new series?
I am the hugest ComiPa otaku on the interweb and probably the only ComiPa cosplayer in North America, and the first ComiPa fanfic writer... I think it's safe to say that this is going to be teh most incredible news evar if a new ComiPa series is happeningz. O___________O |

Good to hear, but I just wish I heard more about this in advance. This has made me so awesomely incredibly happy.
'course, I'm still waiting for someone to fansub the 4th Revolution OVAs... I wonder what they'll do for this series? I was able to get the site URL-translated and it seems like they're re-telling the 2001 TV release, only this time it's more faithful to the game. I just wish they kept Noriko Sudo as the character illustrator; the new ones seem a little oblong to me. Still, I hope there's some actual relationship closure. Let's start running the odds on pairings: Kazuki x Mizuki: 1 in 2 Kazuki x Yuu: 3 to 1 Kazuki x Minami: 7 to 1 Kazuki x Aya (As much as I hate to say it): 6 to 1 Kazuki x Chisa: 5 to 1 Kazuki x Reiko: 7 to 1 Kazuki x Ikumi: 10 to 1 Kazuki x Taishi: 4 to 1 |

I'm completely Psyched. I loved both the anime and the manga (though the manga a bit more), and the OVA for Comic Party Revolution. All the VAs look familiar, as I'm pretty sure they were the ones for the original series. Plus, we finally get to have regular appearences of Subaru and Asahi! =D
And Taishi is undenibly the coolest male character to ever grace any anime. =P Also, as a side note, does anyone know if the Comic Party manga is still continuing in Japan? If it's anything like the OVA, it's somewhat of a sequel, which takes place after a lot of other events that didn't yet occur in the anime, (spoiler[Kazuki, Taishi and Mizuki are now college students, and Subaru, Asahi, Ikuma and Yuuzou are all introduced].) Acctually, come to think about it, it's probably at this point more faithful to the original game, though it is continuing off the original anime. In response to your question, I E-mailed Tokyopop about the quasi-ending to their manga distro... they said they didn't have any information on whether or not it'd be continued. I sure hope it'd be continued, though. The Aya vs. Eimi thing? Pure WONDER. Aya is my favorite character, and she's got that undercurrent of determination and inner strength that makes her so mysterious. It'd rock. I ask everyone commenting in this thread to lend your enthusiasm and expertise to the only Comic Party forum on the Internets that I know of, the Comic Party Dojinshi Expo and Spot Sale forum: http://comicparty.proboards39.com/. It's high time ComiPa got the fandom it deserves, my brothers! Also, shameless self-promotion here, but I invite you all to check out some of the fine Comic Party fanfic out there... http://www.fanfiction.net/l/1850/3/0/1/1/0/0/0/1/ Most of it is by me, but there are some great authors who have contributed to ComiPa. Also, yes, it seems that the VAs are still the same. Too bad it's not the same character designers. ;-; Although Aya in seifuku in the first ComiPa: Revolution OVA made me a happy, happy man...  ;;

I'm new here.Out of curiosity,anybody ever wonder why it's always Mizuki or one of the CP girls on the cover of anything Comic Party related(exept the DC game with Kazuki on the cover)?Either the DVDs or manga,you don't see Kazuki on the front cover.

Acctually, the truth is spoiler[it's Ikumi's older, super scary brother. I'm sure you've probably seen if you read the manga (aka, super scary man with the bullet scars in his chest, wears a dark jacket, really buff, and buys Kazuki's Doujinshi in the 4th volume, after giving him a short lecture about being a parody booth in the original section (and I also know he showed up on some other occasion prior to the 4th volume)). Apparently, he's Ikumi's older brother.] Not quite the response you were looking for, eh? =P |

Note, while I'm pretty sure I'm correct, there's room for error. I found the name in a certain Party's Breaker FAQ, and decided that that was his name. Though I might be wrong ^^;, I didn't pull the name out of thin air. =P Really though, I'm pretty sure. Where'd you come with the name Kenshiro though? =P |
