Ga-Rei Zero is a great show and I'm eagerly awaiting Funimation's release, especially since they'll all now have premium packaging now. I think a Yomi/Kagura keychain made like the Jo/Meg keychain for Burst Angel would be an ideal pack-in item as well.

Also, best opening theme I've ever heard.

You'll see it on blu-ray, but nothing will make it HD.

Have you seen the latest Funi upscales? They are not bad at all.

No, GRZ isn't an HD show. That's what hissatsu01 is saying. He took screenshots on mania (I can't find them), but the difference, at least to me, was minimal between DVD and BD. With DVD's getting premium treatment, I'd just get that since the difference in A/V is minimal.

Good news I guess, but what I'm really waiting for is the street date for the DVD-BD release.... They said early 2011 when it was first announced, so I'm eagerly waiting for the new solicitations in February.

Would have been infinitely better had the story been told in a traditional linear fashion, although I can see how the way they did it would be appealing to the manga fans. Suffice it to say, I watched the first 2 episodes, skipped the entire middle, then watched 10 - 12. I enjoyed what I saw.

That makes no sense. If non linear storytelling bothers you so much, why not watch 3-9,1,2,10-12 rather than than completely excise any and all character motivations and background. Non linear storytelling is preferable to entirely cutting out much of the story.

Because the plot was pretty boring anime herp derp. I was just in it for the fight sequences which 1,2 and 10 through 12 did pretty decent with. Really, boiling this down to a 2 part OVA with a higher budget for the fight sequences in the back half of the show would have pleased me more. But whatever, you like what you like and I'll like what I like Wink
