So, the Encyclopedia has an option for listing anime episode titles. And the option is certainly used quite a lot, even for longer series.
Can something similar be implemented for manga? We have a "volume" category, but it's quite awkward to use that when a single volume contains more than one chapter, and it's only the chapters that have individual names. For example, for the Gunslinger Girl manga, with five chapters in the first volume, it would be a lot more logical if they could be input individually under a "chapters" heading, rather than just lumped together as the "Volume 1". Seconded. However,
is not true. See GUNNM and F.Compo for examples. In my opinion, GSG manga is not the best example for chapter titles, for its original title of Chapter 7 was "spoiler[Ice cream in the Spanish open space]," apparently a re-translation from Japanese (itself a translation from Italian "spoiler[Piazza di Spagna]" or English "spoiler[Spanish Plaza]") to English again. I haven't seen the US release by ADV yet; hopefully they would edit it out, for the original title (in English when published in Japan, BTW) was simply wrong. |
