I got this from the announcements in the AS boards. Scryed will air May 28 at 12:30 AM. They haven't announced when Escaflowne is airing yet but it's supposed to air somewhere this year.
I'm very surprised to find out that Escaflowne will air on AS because of how it used to air on Fox Box when it was still known as Fox kids.

Escaflowne is okay, but Scryed is going to be a hit.

Scryed was shown on the AS on-demand, so it isn't surprising that they decided to air it.

Wow, Escaflowne? That's a shocker. Never really cared for Scryed.

Scryed is good, although primarily because the supporting characters (Straight Cougar, etc.) are awesome. I could care less about Kazuma and Ryuhou, although at least Kazuma beats stuff down good every so often. And I could've lived without Mimori. Hisashi Hirai's character designs (Mr. McSeed) actually don't look like complete crap this time, but this is mostly due to them being based on, well, characters that already existed. Still, this show's very much worth watching, especially if it's on the TV.
I'm going to hold off on getting all excited about Escaflowne, which I've been looking forward to for the longest time, until we see something more official. Still, awesome, if true.

July- Escaflowne, the animé feature film, follows the teenager Hitomi, who travels to Gaia, an alternate world, to escape her depression on Earth. In Gaia, she meets Van, a mysterious young king. Van will determine the fate of countries with a mystical dragon armor called Escaflowne. Time/Date TBA. |
Seems pretty official to me. But version we talking here? Edit: Thought it was the series. So it appears [as] is getting back to showing more movies (For awhile TOONAMI Saturday Night did the same last August).

I'm glad that Scryed will air on AS later this year! I read that it's suppose to be an anime equivalent to the X-Men.
I saw the Escaflowne movie last year, and it got me interested in seeing the TV series.
Both worthy entries in the AS lineup.
EDIT: I also thought that AS was going to show the Escaflowne TV series. Oh, well. I'm still looking forward to watching Scryed, though.

By "official", I mean like press release etc. I don't doubt this, but it never hurts to make sure it's for certain.

The movie? Oh, well, that's...uh...different. I had heard they planned to air more movies this year, so I guess that's one of them. Well, shucks, I was really hoping for the series.

I've read some people say the opposite. They say that "X-Men" is about mutants who try to reconsile their differences with the humans who loath them and their kind while protecting them against the mutants who wish to extinguish the human race...
...while in "Scryed" the mutants like to blow stuff up.
Or something.

I'm not sure about that. What type of things is he saying, because [as] shows aren't exactly Sunday school stuff. And while I know it won't, in the back of my mind I'm hoping [as] eases their editing even more come March 28th as a show to advertisers.

I heavily enjoyed both series, though since I own them both on DVD the only reason I''d watch them on TV is to see what they edit.

Well, that's expected. Higher level curse words like the f-word, s-word, and some variations of other words simply aren't allowed on cable television. But how's the violence in the series? AS has been very lenient with the violence in their shows lately (other than blood explosions from the back of the head, as in "FMA").

Scryed's violence isn't bad at all, there wasn't very much blood, from what I remember. They've shown worse. Aside from possible language edits, I don't think they'll need to do much else.
