Anyone seen the trailor for Stealth?
http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/stealth/index.html Feels a bit like Macross Plus(pretty close plane designs), but more genearic and predicable and stupied Oh and i figured i should nominate D.E.B.S. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/d.e.b.s./index.html as another reason why American Movies are going down the crapper |

I thought the same thing when I saw that trailer when I saw constantine. It reminded me of macross plus to.
The movie will not do well but looks cool. |

Not particularly original. The concept has been done several times before (before Macross Plus), but I agree that the plane designs remind me of Macross...

Yeah, similar plane designs as Macross Plus, but the plot seems like an exact copy of Yukikaze.

I dunno. I think it is more than the plane designs that is very reminiscent of Macross PLus. |

Macross Plus? Maybe a little. Yukikaze? Too recent to have been an influence on this production.
Anyway, Japanese animators didn't invent the concept of A.I. going haywire. |

... Anyway, I suppose I could see a bit of Macross Plus influence there, but more than anything else, this film looks like "Top Gun + Terminator/ every other Computers vs Man flick out there". |

Well, what do you expect from the same director of The Fast and the Furious and XXX?

I don't. I see a similarity, but the exact scenario of robot planes going haywire has been done several times in the North American movie industry already. Unfortunately, I can't, for the life of me, remember the names of either of the two movies that I've seen with that topic. -t |

Don't ya hate it when amazing visuals are wasted on poorly formulated films? *cough*Final Fantasy: Spirits Within*cough* Well, I won't judge it until I see it... or until Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 10% or lower... |

Wasn't Foxfire kind of like that? It's been ages since I've seen it and I'm not sure if I've seen it all of the way through. EDIT: Oh, sorry, Firefox, the Clint Eastwood movie from 1982. |
