The series really should have stopped after Farewell Yamato, nothing can ever outdo that movie's end.

Old clips like those are gems and one of the reasons Youtube is actually worth something.

That's debatable, but it certainly should have stopped with Final.

This commercial was actually available as an extra on a documentary DVD called "Space Battleship Yamato: The Making of an Anime Legend" produced by Voyager (the American distributor of Yamato/StarBlazers). It's a very good documnetary, not sure if the disc is still in print but I highly recommend it. I did a review of it here:

The hell it didn't. I should point out it wasn't limited to just spaceships.

All was fine... until the Big Wheel rolled into town.

I know they had some at the Starblazers panel at I-con this past April. I only got the screen saver.

I also see it still listed on the Starblazers website
