If this is from the staff that did Freedom I wonder if its going to have 3D character animation.

I've never seen Kakurenbo. I need to try to track that down and watch it.

Freedom wasn't "3D," but I think it was motion-capture...correct? It had the kind of heavy motion I associate with motion-capture animation.

Still, plotwise, it actually sounds not particularly ecchi and potentially entertaining (and educational!) so hopefully it will be well-done.

Freedom was definitely 3D CG, just cell shaded (3D modeling, "2D" rendering). I don't know if there was any motion capture involved.

This artist who worked on the project wrote about it here

Koisento appears to be done with traditional animation though.
