Which favourite movie or movies would you like to see done as an anime? Mine would be The Star Wars movies, always been a fan of it. Love the story and the characters and the epic battle between good and evil. Just was thinking it would be cool if it were an anime! Cool

This seems like a thread that might have come up once or twice already, but as I'm in a posty kinda headspace, I'll play ball...

Blade Runner might work well in animated form. If the art style was similar to Texhnolyze or Ergo Proxy... Dark and claustrophobic. The problem is that too many outstanding aspects come together to make Blade Runner an unparalleled classic within its field, so any adaptation would be judged very harshly, and as much as I respect the anime industry, I doubt they could do it justice.

The exception would be if it were a complete re-envisioning with the same themes. If it paid homage without plaguarising, it could just about be do-able.
