Yuko FUJII 藤江 優子
has 3 credits for Background Art (two of these with "no source", one with a good shirayuki page that confirms the kanji name) and >20 credits for Animation (Studio Gimlet, with lots of livedoor wiki sources). So she's an obvious split candidate. The source URL for the kanji name refers to the Allcinema page of 藤江 優子 = ふじえ・ゆうこ = FUJIE Yuuko, so the romanization of this person was wrong to begin with. ENAMDICT allows three readings for 藤江 but FUJIE is the only surname of these. Actually, this background artist appears to be a duplicate of Yuko FUJIE, no kanji, 4 credits for Background Art. (One of the four credits, for the Case Closed movie, confirms the 藤江 優子 kanji name.) And the many animation tasks may as well belong to Yuuko FUJII 藤井 裕子, 3 credits for Animation (Studio Gimlet), easily to be confirmed by the aforementioned livedoor wiki sources. The problem here is that 裕子 has 10 readings including both Yuko and Yuuko so given the way romanizations are handled by English sources we have no clue which one of both animators' names would be more likely (and the ANN database is no help in this aspect). How much of this confusion can be cleared up, and by which procedure? Moving the background credits to Yuuko FUJIE looks like a safe bet but would require hiding the kanji of Yuko FUJII in order to give them to Yuuko FUJIE; the latter would open up Yuko FUJII (with lots of credits) as the possible candidate for the three Yuuko FUJII credits but of these two persons we can't be sure which one is the better choice. And given the low quality of the background sources ("no source" for 2 out of 3) I'd prefer the split procedure being applied to them (i. e. leave them with their original submitters as owner) to the flag&add procedure. |
