YES! YES! No pun intended, but this show was too good to die. Thank you, Media Blasters!

With all the craptastic titles ADV shoveled out of its back catalog (Tekken, I'm looking at you), this should've come out much sooner. Here's to Media Blasters for having the balls to release this wonderful little puppy of an OAV!
Here's hoping the original ADV dub is on the DVD because it was a great one!

I wonder if Media Blasters will consider getting the Mosquition Tv series?

About time this forgetten gem came to DVD. Shame on ADV for neglecting this one, and kudos to Media Blasters for picking it up.
As for the TV series, MB will probably get it if sales of the OAVs are good enough. The show's pretty old by now, so they should be able to get it for a song.

I managed to get the videos for $1 each when Right Stuf cleared out their tapes a year ago. I've been waiting for ADV to get the show out on dvd, but I'll take it from whoever.
I love Satoru Akahori.

You know, it's funny. My boyfriend attended the ADV panel at Otakon in 2004 and someone asked 'When are you going to bring out Master of Mosquiton on DVD?' their answer was rather odd. Something about the fact that DVDs are considered software in Japan was making it difficult for them to get the rights to release it on DVD... and now I hear MediaBlasters got it and that reply makes even less sense.
This is actually one very near and dear to my heart, and I'm so happy I'll finally have a DVD to replace my badly worn VHS tapes.

Not really--it seems MediaBlasters is picking up abandoned titles like Here is Greenwood(excellent title) & Saber Marionette R. I remember Dark Horse commenting a couple yrs ago at a panel that it's often easier to pick up a title that's been licensed & dropped before-cheaper. I pre-ordered the Go Nagai set ADV planned to offer a vouple yrs ago, but they dropped plans to release it(it was to be sub-only. Now they seem to be releasing several Go Nagai titles, so I'm wondering if they aren't those titles dubbed & shipping separately--I only remember Delinquent in Drag which hasn't shown up yet, but I'm also waiting for the dvd of that title.)
