Inuyasha was an extremely long series...too long. But there are plenty of series that were/are just as long & longer.

Actually, it's pretty short compared to Naruto, Bleach, Gintama and Reborn eventually. Also, Srg. Frog beats it in episode count.

I for one liked Inuyasha's pace, it didn't take over 20 episode to sum up a battle but it sure as heck didn't take 20 minutes as well. Which to me is good. All in all I expected at least another 52 episodes considering we has to wait 4 year for them to continue the story. But if we are going by time waited and amount of episodes they own up that would make the Next season of Full Metal Panic would have to be at least 26 episodes as well. Which would be awesome. But beggars can't be choosers.

It was a good run and sometimes things are good because they don't last. Everything has to come to an end and I will be happy to see this ending. Smile

If Takahashi lets this have a proper ending it will be the first one ever.

I really like Inuyasha its my favorite Animation ever. I started watching Inuyasha last year and I just finished watching the 26th episode of The Final Act yesterday :'( I'm sad now. I'm hoping Viz Media will make an eighth season of Inuyasha.

an 8th season? The anime and manga are done with, so what are they going to do. It would just be foolish just to keep it going longer then it really has to.

It definitely had a proper ending and if you are implying this is the first Takahashi series with a proper ending than you are obviously not familiar with Maison Ikkoku and One Pound Gospel.

I just finished watching inuyasha final act episode 26 and Sango Rules is probably right there might be an eight season to it because of the ending with what Kagome said "Towards Tomorrow". It sounds like a big hint to me that there will be a next season. I HOPE THERE IS A NEXT SEASON Very Happy

Obviously one person's definition of a proper ending isn't the same as another's. What an epiphany! Wink

Actually I have no clue what you mean. Most people fault Takahashi for endings because of Ranma 1/2. This is a series that had an "open ending" and all loose ends were not tied up. Now I personally do not mind this but a lot of fans complain about it and act like all Takahashi series end this way. I have heard Lum sort of ends this way too but I have not read it so I can't comment. The other series is Mermaid saga but that is a special case since she never actually finished it and you can even look at each story as a stand alone.

Inuyasha, Maison Ikkoku, and One Pound Gospel on the other hand all have endings as clear as day with pretty much all loose ends tied up.

Inuyasha spoiler[Naraku is defeated, after High School Kagome goes back to the feudal era to live with Inuyasha]

One Pound Gospel spoiler[Sister Angel decides to quit being a nun to be with Kosaku]

Maison Ikkoku spoiler[Godai and Kyoko get married]

Whether you like the endings or not is a different story but that has nothing to do with them being "proper endings".
