I'm a Bail Enforcement Agent (Bounty Hunter) and I have been writing a story about some adventures my team and I have had, I was wondering if I provided the Story and Pictures if anyone could make an Anime Cartoon out of it and put it on a DVD, if so how much would it cost ?

I think you have a better chance of pushing Dog: The Bounty Hunter offa the air than get an Anime deal.

Were not looking for a deal or to be on TV, this is just a novelty thing, something I would like to give my nephews for their birthday. I don't know how much work it would be or how much it costs, anyone got any ideas ?

Several hundred thousands of dollars, if you're going to the Japanese that is. The hardest part would be to get someone in there to actually animated it, which isn't so bad if you have enough money. Problem being, larger corporate entities are currently riding the Anime cashcow and are also negotiating and scheduling things for production, so you will need to find a way around that. Not only that, you'll also need to make something that will appeal to a certian or wide audience, because the studio you contract will demand (as per contract, probably) royalties from any home video sales you make, given that you are making an OAV (or intend to make one, at the very least).

Ontop of that, you will need working material to work with, in Japanese. You will need Japanese translators, lawyers to negotiate how the profits and what not are devided up, all of that business crap. In the end, it's not worth it.

Wow, never thought I'd see the day when a Bounty Hunter and anime fan would show up on these Forums. How cool! Anime hyper

As for your idea, much of what steventheeunuch said is what'll probably be required. I did a sort of research project on how anime is made and legally speaking it's pretty workful. You have to present your idea by certain standards, have some money to invest, have some attorneys for legal advising, sign contracts, etc.

Then, even after that's all finalized, it'll probably be around 6-12 months to get it all together, as in financing, planning, and finalization for an actual production run.

Of course, this is pretty basic even for an actual manga writer or anime creator and the such. It'll probably be even more difficult for you, assuming you're not Japanese that is.

It'll be tough, but if you're patient and dedicated enough you can do it. Good luck with your quest, Mr. Bounty Hunter Smile (I've always wanted to say that Anime hyper).

When I read the first few words of the first post, I thought it might be a bounty hunter looking to take down Anime Cartoon (or Manga International as they're called now).

You could probably find some Flash animators to work on it.

But if you really are looking for animators, try going to http://forums.awn.com and clip on the co-op section. You should get some respones.[/url]
