Has anyone heard anything on a possible US release of the cowboy bebop movie? A friend off mine saw it at a con and said it was really good. I really want to see this movie!
That and the Nadesico movie...

There's been a little buzz, but nothing concrete.

Who knows. It's deffinatly coming, but the question is when. Before it was being released by Columbia/Tristar, but now it's being released by what I asume is a branch of C/T, Samuel Goldwyn Films. I guess it's their ball now.
BTW, info comes from the ANN news from 1/17/03

Was originally scheduled to be released in NY/LA this week, I think, but was pushed back until April.
Now its flip-flopping distributors and who knows what's going to happen to it. They're most likely having arguments with each other about exactly how wide to go with this movie, and when to place it so it'll have a better chance.

April isn't so bad though. January's the month for movies which studios don't care about, so that means Sony might have more faith in Bebop. (If I recall, Metropolis came out in January or February.)

Exellent, thanks. At least I wont have to wait 2 year to see it like I did for the Eva movies.
