Sweet. I missed the screening at Fanime. Even if it is only a rehash, this gives me hope that Viz will screen the Eva movies and the second GL movie as well...

As much as I love Gurren Lagann, I doubt I'd sit through either of the movies unless I were seeing them theatrically. The fact that it's basically a long clip show would be negated by the joy of getting to see Simon FIGHT DA POWAH on the big screen.

Too bad I live nowhere near San Fran.

yes, there're new scenes and also change in the actual story (well the less important facts) and it feels like watching a resume of the series with some "improvements" etc etc
