Well, I haven't seen Eva 1.0 yet, so if the second one is coming out this quick, Funi's VA must LOVE what they do...
Either that, or they just have a lot of time on their hands. Regardless, I'm looking foward to hearing Tiffany Grant, and Spike Spencer's roles act differently than the original, so that alone makes me psyched! Shinji was always my favorite character! And Asuka... well, I just wanted her to know how Shinji actually felt, so again, I'm psyched!!! |

As far as I know, 2.0 isn't licensed by FUNimation... but obviously it will be eventually.

I am looking forward to Musashi and First Squad, First Squad in particular, I really like Studio 4°C's work. In addition to the anime works there are 8 other films being screened. They are showing a bunch of soviet era Russian works that should be really interesting to see. The only disappointing part is that the festival does not show any interdependently made works from North America.

Killer. I'm excited for Musashi, and this would be a great time to, oh, say, make an announcement about Eva 2.0 (HINT HINT, FUNIMATION).

This is Canada, right? So are all these going to have English subtitles?
Because THAT would be big news. |

Yes all the shows being shown are subtitled in English other then the two films from English speaking countries (Ireland, Australia). |

Correction: It's the Canadian premiere of Evangelion 2.0. Its North American premiere was at the Hawaiian International Film Festival on October 24th.
Kinda surprised, would have thought that would have been mentioned here. Then again, I guess I didn't even know about the showing I went to until I decided to see what they were playing this year the week before. Edit: Whoops, and same thing for First Squad. That also played at HIFF last month. um... sorry to tell you this but Hawaii is technically not part of North America it is on the Pacific Plate. So ANN is not wrong in the reporting. (of course technically the northern part of Japan and a slice of Russia is part of the North American Plate but that is neither here nor there.) I really want to go like I did last year but as of now: I'm in a different city, have no money, and no job. So unless something drastically changes I will likely have to miss out on the fun. The line up looks pretty good though. I wish I could make it. |

DAMN! 3 films I wanna see! Playing so close, yet so far... I'm in Toronto... I was hoping that either one or all of these might've been at the film fest...

From North York, I usually get to Waterloo faster than to downtown Toronto, and I don't have to pay $20 to park. Plus god knows how much tickets cost at the TIFF these days. Plus it's a whole lot closer to get to Waterloo than, say, France or Spain where these films played... |
