That was pretty much the only disappointment I had with The Man of Tango. Too bad Okadaya couldn't have drawn things out. Still I was happy Sublime recused this title and that it got a final version the artist was more happy with.
The Years of Solitude song lyrics did stick out to me a little. Though it doesn't seem like an average reader was suppose to comprehend initially anyway. I assume the song is one sung by Milva: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKSSx_VuKg8 But, the lyrics included in the book are a bit of a piecemeal of Années de Solitude. There is sort of a translation in the Años de soledad chapter, but not 100% and I don't know where one of the lines Angie says in relation to the song came from. |

Is Latin American dance getting popular in Japan for some reason? This is the second BL manga I read this year that features Latin dancers and it tingles all the right places reading about handsome men romancing in half-Spanish half-dancing. Thanks for this, I didn't even know this existed before the review and I really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately the 30-years-later epilogue you mentioned never made it to the dark side of the internet, which is quite a bummer since the only "epilogue" I found are some pages on spoiler[Hiro's ex and her new bf] which nobody cared about and it does feel sort of incomplete ): |
