I made my preorder through Amazon last week, though I'll have to wait to get mine because I ordered it with 2 other titles that don't come out 'til the 18th. Sad Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to this, as well as the live-action movie (whenever that comes out--won't be for a while though, as filming doesn't even begin until 2010). This will actually be the first non-BL title I've bought since Kimi wa Petto wrapped up. It's hard to go wrong with a Fumi Yoshinaga title, BL or not, imo.

That sounds like an absolutely fascinating title. I will definitely be checking this one out at some point (hopefully not too long after it comes out, though we'll see what the money situation has in store for me).

The word "royal" is not quite accurate here; after all a Tokugawa shōgun is a military leader, not a royalty. Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who ruled Japan before Tokugawa, was not even born as an aristocrat.

He was of peasant stock if I'm not mistaken.
