Season 1 isn't all that old. The last episode aired in March I think, so for now I still have hope for a second season (not like Claymore f.ex.).
Or you can read the manga Anyway, Skip Beat is hilarious.

And it's not licensed yet for R1 DVD.

I really liked what I saw of the series, but only saw the first 8 episodes a while back. Need to watch the rest at some point.

So was Chance Pop Session, if anyone remembers.

*looks at wiki for Chance Pop Session*
Kyoko had it worse from the wiki description of Chance Pop and is trying to be an actress. But some elements are similar. Plus Kyoko in angry mode is great.

Awesome show with one of the best lead female characters I've seen in anime. I hope everyone gives this a chance! And I'm really hoping there's a season two, though from what I understand, the manga hasn't gone that much further into the story to warrant another 13 or 26 episodes...

I think there's at least enough of the manga for another season. The current story only covered the first 60 chapters or so. There are now around 140 chapters. There are several stories they could cover. I hope they do. I waited each week for this one on CR.

Well they could do an OVA first and then if it's still popular do another season.

As much as I like this series, it did not fly well at our college's anime club. Not really sure why. The pacing of the episodes is a little wonky, but. eh. Their loss.

Man, I need to finish this series. While I do have some qualms with Skip Beat!, I have still enjoyed the show quite a bit through 10 episodes in spite of them.

Great review, I agree with all of it. Skip Beat! is an amazing show, and I want more.

Um, I could be wrong, and if I am someone please clarify because I'd like to know for certain myself... but isn't Crunchyroll the North American licensor for Skip Beat and Shugo Chara??
Unless that's not an accurate statement, then we're not going to see R1 DVDs if and until the day comes Crunchyroll gets into the packaged media business...?

They licensed it for streaming, and I don't think we'll see CR doing DVDs.
