I was watching Full Metal Panic TSR yesterday and right after Sagara fails at getting a haircut L comes riding a bike outside the shop for about 2 sec.

Making a cameo, pretty much. I don't know why, because I believe the shows were produced by different studios, but they must have some kind of staff or something in common, right?
At least we now know how L stays so thin on such a high-sugar diet. Move L's bicycle over a little and you can see Light and Soichiro joining the party as well.

That's what I would think, but I just checked the staff list and there wasn't a single common link. They share no staff members. I imagine that the people working on FMP might have just been fans of the series and just put it in as a joke. |

I don't watch Full Metal Panic, but it was probably a joke or something. They could be fans of Death Note. But yeah that's definitly L and Misa, and I can see a bit of Light too.

I remember that, kind of a funny cameo before, well those who have seen the episode know what hapends. I thought KyoAni often have a common style of makeing references to other anime or manga. I know the trivia page for this series on this site mentions this particular occurance.
