The game is the third and final installment of the award-winning rom-com visual novel series, Destiny Star Girlfriend, and follows the story of everyman Seiji, whose life is suddenly and inexplicably targeted by Kanoko Satake, a reserved schoolmate who moonlights as a magical girl protecting Earth against space monsters. Forced to live together by order of the Starry Sky Council, their relationship evolves amidst Kanoko's icy facade and vulnerabilities. As they unravel the mysteries binding them, will they find resolution and forge a new destiny together?

INTRO

Spring 2019—the first year of Reiwa—but even as Japan rings in a new era, nothing ever changes for Seiji and his sleepy student ways. Aside from the arrival of new hottie Maja last winter, each month so far has been as brain-numbingly dull as the last. Until...

One fateful night, a mystery assassin shows up to literally suck out Seiji's life force! His would-be killer is none other than Kanoko, a second-year at the academy—and a covert magical girl tasked with protecting humans against monsters from deep space. It all seems to trace back to a tragedy in Kanoko's past when a powerful Majin massacred her family... so why target a complete nobody like Seiji?

To complicate matters, the Starry Sky Council is investigating an anomaly in Kanoko's body, which means she and Seiji must move in together until further notice. But with Kanoko's usual ice-cold retorts betraying some decidedly vulnerable weak spots, what will become of Seiji's sanity this time around—and Kanoko's? A Stars bearing the name “Sadalmelik.” Though still a sophomore, her Stars skills already surpass some of the organization's best.

She possesses exceptional skills, but her aloof demeanor and difficulty in socializing make her something of an enigmatic presence. Obsessed with her campus senior Yuuri as her magical-girl master and mentor, she devotes her time off to serving her every whim. Amazing in the kitchen and a wizard at domestic chores.

Maja and Petra are now also colleagues in the same organization.

A First-Class Stars bearing the name “Rigel.”
As an expert manipulator of all things light magic, she pulverizes demons to dust with overwhelming baseball-themed finesse.

Popular on campus for her cute looks and nice-girl undercover persona. Beneath the mask, while still upbeat and generous, she can be conceited and a sore loser who often gets stuck on one-upping others. For all her bluster, it doesn't take much to crack her defenses.

Maja Krienke
Voice: Ion Momoyama
A young woman scouted and contracted by a Majin under mysterious circumstances, she has dedicated herself to the dark arts—and wields a mean sword to boot.

Persuaded by Yuuri and the others, she has since severed ties with demonkind and joined the Starry Sky Council alongside her “little sister,” Petra. Seriously single-minded, her reliability in a pinch earned her the respect of allies in her hometown, although she can still be absent-minded at times.

“I will give it my all as a member of the Starry Sky Council.”

Petra Grün
Voice: Yūka Kotorii
An underclassman hailing from Maja's native hometown. Thinks the world of her “big sister,” preferring to stick by her side at all times.

Aptly described as a rowdy, excitable puppy, even by those who know her. Gritty, chatty, chronically unshy, and an unapologetic icebreaker—all probably thanks to a wilder childhood than most.

“Yeah, this time I'm just one of the gang from the get-go!”

Fujiko Yonamine
Voice: Yuuha Nitta
A retired Stars who bore the name “Ancha.” An active member of the Starry Sky Council's East Kanagawa Branch. Revered for her powerful healing magic since her demon-vanquishing days, she continues to provide support spells while devoting her time to guiding the next generation of Stars.

Has her fair share of airhead moments but is overall a mild-mannered pacifist. Chestily vaunted campus-wide.

“I might not look it, but I'm a former Stars. Count on me next!”
