Hope it's okay to make such a thread here. The way I figure it, a lot of the major Region 1 anime & manga announcements generally come via AX (Which isn't to put down other anime conventions, of course) so it's rather fun (and maybe therapeutic?) to do one of these sort of threads.

I PREDICT THAT:

- Companies (I don't dare guess which ones though I'm sure most of it will be Funimation, lol) will announce they've licensed any (or all) of the following: Eden of the East, K-On!, Kannagi, Kuroshitsuji, Nodame Cantabile, Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei, and Vampire Knight.
- Bandai will announce they've licensed the Gurren Lagann movies. Possibly Parallel Works as well.
- Funimation gives release dates and dub cast announcements for Nabari no Ou, Oh! Edo Rocket, Soul Eater, etc.
- Viz gives date for 1st Monster DVD release and will likely announce the dub voices for Dr. Tenma and Johan. Also, release/airing details for the Shippuden dub.

This isn't quite a prediction but I think a Gintama anime license announcement will be VERY likely.

I WISH/HOPE THAT:

- ADV officially announces a Clannad dub
- Bandai announces they will be doing a Hayate dub after all.
- Someone anyone (preferably, Del Ray or Viz. Least preferably, Tokyopop) will announce licenses of at least one Nobuyuki Fukumoto title.
- On a related note: license(s) of the Akagi and/or Kaiji anime series would be very nice as well.
- Funimation announces uncut (and redubbed) dual audio re-releases/rescues of Cardcaptor Sakura and/or Shaman King.
- Some company announces they've licensed the Baccano! light novels.
- Viz finally gives the word on future DVD releases (if any) of the rest of Hikaru no Go and Prince of Tennis. Even if it's a "No. We aren't doing them anymore." it's better to hear that than to be left hanging and wondering with (false) hope.

So let me see your predictions and wishes for Anime Expo 2009!
