And of course they don't say what this collaboration entails, so I don't know if I'll suddenly give a crap about "CoD." I'm guessing it'll just be an advertising campaign or something.

Maybe DLC costumes like when XIII-2 paired up with Mass Effect.

Called it...

Anyway, I would assume it's an extra side mission where you and/or Jormungand charas have to take out a target or whatever. You don't see them directly but hear their voices over the radio.

Japan has been doing a lot of crossovers these days. At least here, their complementary themes make sense. If they wanted a war game, so why not associate with the most popular war game. Now more people in the world could know of Jormungand maybe if it's available worldwide.

Do note that Japan LOVES Call of Duty, if the strange amount of fanart of it is any indication.

And Jormungand is as close as you can get to the tone and aesthetic of the franchise, so a collaboration between the two makes a certain amount of sense.

And I would say it was a certain amount of open-mindedness of whoever ok'd this on the Activision / Treyarch front. As a fan of BlackOps, I would love to see an anime tie in used here, whatever this ends up being.

Oh wow, and kudo to Square Enix (who happen to publish Call of Duty in Japan since Modern Warfare 2), if they are involved in this. Anyway, I'm not surprised they're trying to do this, Call of Duty sold like crazy in Japan since Square Enix publish Call of Duty. Call of Duty is one of the few western games that sold very well in Japan. Anyway, I wonder what next, EA getting Strike Witches to crossover with Battlefield (Battlefield 3 did sold well in Japan when it first came out) or Medal of Honor, I wonder what this would look like in anime and replace the dude with a witch:

Speaking of Strike Witches, I would love to see a Strike Witches that take place in modern-day combat. Maybe it should be called Strike Witches: Modern Warfare. Yes the Neuroi should return more advanced, and smarter then the previous. It should also be a parody of modern style shooter that include Call of Duty and Battlefield Also I want the character name in that Strike Witches: Modern Warfare to be a play on character from Call of Duty and Battlefield (and Medal of Honor) like for example:

Joanna Price (a play on John Price from Call of Duty: MW)
Alexandra Mason (based off of Alex Mason from Black Ops)
Jenna Hudson (based off of Jason Hudson from Black Ops)
Joan "Sud" Mactavish ("Soap" Mactavish, MW series)
Simone "Phantom" Riley (Simon "Ghost" Riley, Modern Warfare 2)
Victoria Rezov (Victor Rezov, Black Ops)
Henrietta Blackburn (Henry Blackburn, Battlefield 3)
"Dina" Mayakovsky ("Dima" Mayakovsky, Battlefield 3)
"Juno" Miller ("Jono" Miller, Battiefield 3)
Priscilla Marlowe (Preston Marlowe, Battlefield: Bad Company)
Theressa Sweetwater (Terrance Sweetwater, BF: Bad Company)
Georgia Haggard (George Haggard, BF: Bad Company)
Dana "Ice" Westbrook (Derek "Frost" Westbrook, MW3)
