While there may be some similarity in color and breed, it's not going to be anything more than coincidence.

They're both typical shiba-mutts, probably the most common kind of dog in Japan, and the kind you can get for a dime a dozen.

Sorta like how a golden retriever is the one of the common dogs here in the US?
