I just watched Ghost in the Shell (the 1995 movie) on The Movie PLEX. They aired it unedited and no commercials either.

Who else watched it tonight?

Curious, how can a channel make money when the only commercials they have are previews of the movies they'll be airing.

I think the direct movie previews (especially if they are full length) garner good money.

This is merely speculation on my part, but in all likelyhood, the studios are probably paying PLEX to show the movies for exposure. More exposure leads to DVD sales and thus the studios make their money back and then some. As long as it remains profitable, the studios will continue to pay them.
