have you sir gone MAD!?!? this is the worst possible idea for a Live Action Drama!!! no way can the humor be carried over to real life! its not humanly possible.
so far the results of my investigation: i went back to the 4chan thread, found this link: http://pyu-sanctuary.net/p2/archives/00000020.html which is form July 2003, and that lead you here as the source: http://www.the-sugoi.com/compose.php?Ndate=05052003&Nnum=4 which is may 5th 2003 and then there is always this comment:
so the world might not be doomed..... |

This would be kinda stupid, and some of the jokes wouldn't work in live action form

While a few of the jokes may not work, a great deal of AzuDai revolves around human nature and somewhat normal situations... Rather than crying for the waaaambulance, you should actually watch it to see how it is. (if it exists beyond mere pictures)
I can just imagine people going off about the Live Action GTO (without having seen it first,) yet I found that the better than the manga or the anime. Not that I'd expect anything spectacular here, but it may be doable. |

If I had a choice, I would like to see a live action pokemon series.

This was a prank from like...two years ago or so; I remember hearing about this when I was still in high school, and just getting into the whole BitTorrent-fansub thing by downloading...Azumanga Daioh back when it was unlicensed. It's old, and nothing ever came of it. Nothing to be concerned with, though I personally find it amusing to see it spring back up after so long.

well thats a relief i thought the world has gone mad when i first saw it. and as for it springing back up, things tend to get reposted OFTEN on 4chan. (note: if you do not know what 4chan is, and you value your sanity, do not attempt to locate it. that place can get EXTEREMLY offensive in all ways possible. but if you are really interested, then read about it at Wikipedia, and after you' ve read all about it, and you STILL want to go there, god help you) |

I actually thought the live action Gokusen was better than the anime.

That's sad, because I would totally go for a live-action AzuDai (removable pigtails and all). Hell, they already have a Galaxy Angel musical!

I love the live action GTO. I feel the drama is far superior to the anime, though I haven't read the manga yet . I think it really helped in the fact that the show had living, breathing people to do the acting rather than just voices. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the anime too, but animated characters just can't substitute for the real thing sometimes. As for this AzuDai prank, it looks very funny. I'm sure a certain friend of mine who has a thing for Asian girls would've loved to have seen this series if it existed. I'm also a little surprised at how close some of these girls actually look to their animated counterparts. |

The manga for GTO is really good too as well. It does help though if you read it completely independent from the live action TV series.
As far as a live action AzuDai, I would have loved to have seen it and how they handled it. |
