*sobs* But I've been so goooood. No fansubs. None! The only manga of it I've read has been in bookstores and from my collection!
Why must you torture me so, Viz? Whyyyyyyy...? Can no one offer me any sort of hope?

The hell Viz, they have episodes done already, I don't see the big problem with showing it dubbed, not a big deal

It will be Dubbed Viz isn't that stupid. Naruto is the most Popular Anime in America. and I am sure little kids who like Naruto isn't gonna buy sub only DVD's Viz knows this. Not tht I am sayting Naruto is for kids I am 21 an I love it.
I wish Clannad was the most Popular anime in America, It should be if it came on normal TV I am sure it will get more attention. Sorry to get off topic.

the newest manga issue was fantastic. sad that the anime probably won't reach this point for like another 100 episodes.

The buzz going around from some of the voice actors at different anime panels at different conventions is that they've at least reached episode 33 with the dub. So no worry, it is being worked on.

Exactly. Viz would NEVER pass up an opportunity to release Shippuden DVDs given the series' high sales, and releasing it sub-only is not going to happen.

I had little doubt that they were actually being dubbed, but my question pertains as to why the English-language episodes haven't been made available to view yet?

Because Viz loves to torture its fans.

I can think of three reasons:
1) Subs are faster
2) Subs are cheaper
3) They aren't ready to let their brand new dub out for "free" just yet.
I'm thinking we'll get those online sometime after they come out on DVD or at the same time as they appear on TV. The way things are these days they're going to want to maximize their profit on them.

Or as a simpler alternative, perhaps because the remainder of the original series hasn't even been made available in dubbed form yet. That may have far more to do with Cartoon Network than Viz themselves, but it's still an inescapable fact.

CN has their Upfront coming up soon so we shall see if they mention the Naruto situation but there will definitely be a dub. You just probably won't see it on television.

The CN Upfront is happening MARCH 25th in the morning. Hopefully they will annnounce the return on Naruto. It's hard to believe they cannot get a similar fast dub appearance like what is done with Pokemon, which is like only 3 or 4 months behind the episodes in Japan.
