Murder, She wrote:

The story is set in Japan a millennium from now. Five children

See, for a science fiction story, that's already a scientific inconsistency.

May 13, 2012 -- Japanese researchers have unveiled a population clock that shows the nation's people could theoretically become extinct in 1000 years because of declining birth rates.

Academics in the northern city of Sendai said that Japan's population of children aged up to 14, which now stands at 16.6 million, is shrinking at the rate of one every 100 seconds.

Their extrapolations pointed to a Japan with no children left within a millennium.

"If the rate of decline continues, we will be able to celebrate the Children's Day public holiday on May 5, 3011 as there will be one child," said Hiroshi Yoshida, an economics professor at Tohoku University.

Their declining rapidly, but they won't just up and disappear. Expensive urban living, being in the first world, and modern technology gonna do that to your country. Maybe their population just needs to even out in scale to what habitable land the island chain has.

Might be cool.

The article made me realize that a lot of these science-fiction series have synopsis that sound way too similar though.

The promo looks pretty good and the story has me intrigued. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Hopefully, the darker elements will be prevalent.

i really got that vibe as well. the trippy music reminded me a lot of those out of body-experience sequences in ghost hound.

overall...what shall i say? i'm pretty hyped up for this. telekinesis: awesome if done right. dystopian/utopian setting: almost always awesome.

what season is this scheduled for?

Genuinely creepy, especially in the first part (201X). Cool music.

What I like the most is the animation of that... thing at 2:08. looks GREAT.

one problem though: why do the characters have to be [expletive] moe girls? Is that necessary? It kind of distracts from what's looking like the main concept.

It's rare for me to latch onto something so vehemently, especially when it is a title that I know nothing about and have never heard of before. But this looks like a must-see. I pray I won't be disappointed.

I'll be watching closely.

EDIT: Shit...

I apologise for bumping this. I have a backlog of ANN feeds that I'm going through. Gotta stop doing that. xD
