oh geez, This is the first time an Otome game I liked before hand is getting an anime.
But I'm seriously wondering how this is going to work since at the very beginning of the game you choose the guy you want. So which route are they going to take~ or how are they going to incorporate some from each route?

Before I fully processed the 'romance' and 'for female players' parts, I almost fell out of my chair.

A lot of Otomate games have been getting animated lately... Hakuouki, Hiiro no Kakera, and now Amnesia... Series based on otome games are generally somewhat boring though. The illustrations for this series were very nice so it would be nice if the anime series were interesting too.

The Otomate Party 2012 event announced on Sunday that a television anime adaptation of Amnesia, a romance adventure game for female players, has been green-lit.
[...]The game begins on the morning of August 1, when the protagonist wakes up and discovers she has absolutely no memories of the past. |
*gasp* I did not see that coming!!
(LOL Aug. 1st=801)
But this does seem like a mildly interesting story so I'll give it a chance.

I'd prefer a real shoujo manga to get an anime but this sounds really interesting so YAYYY!
Please, please DEEN, don't do another 'Hiiro no Kakera'. I hope from the sales for that anime you have learned your lesson.

I am quite interested in otome games, as there are so few available in English. I wonder how their styles differ, so I am excited that this anime will clue me in a bit on what these VN's are like.
And spotlessden that comment seemed rather tasteless, just a simple one liner that I'm inclined to interpret in a negative light. Just because the target audience is female of a specific group, doesn't mean others can't enjoy this TV series.
