Nice to hear that Yotsuba&! is getting a second life thanks to Yen. I bought the first volume a while back but didn't get around to obtaining the rest of them mainly due to ADV's issues within their manga department. Now this and Zombie-Loan are on my must-buy list from Yen Press Cool .

Has it been said yet when they're releasing the first Soul Eater volume?

Very good news here. I mean I cheered that more Yotsuba volumes are coming out, but was initially worried about translation consistency. Looks like I don't have to worry now! Now I just have to hope the cover looks relatively consistent to ADV's... aww hell, I'd probably by them all again anyway.

Not too sound or come off like I've been living underneath a rock these past few months but when did ADV's manga divison officially tank?

I was well aware that they were having there problems but this doesn't come off as a surprise.

Also, any word on whats going to happen to the gunslinger girls manga series that ADV held the license to?

What I'm wondering is what they'll do about Yotsuba&! volumes 7 and 8? If their license covers only volume 6...

I have the first five, so I don't worry about them - though the translations sometimes leave something to be desired - but I'd really like to continue buying the series AFTER volume 6.

Technically, it didn't tank, it just went to sleep for a while, but with the current economy, I don't expect a resurrection any time soon. To be honest, with the way anime/manga sales are in America, it makes sense for companies to focus on one one thing and do it well; rathes that to try to do everything.
