Which sets would I have to buy to get all of El Hazard and which order should I watch them in? It confuses me. There are two on RightStuf that I think are what I need but are those two sets missing the original OAV? Argh. Thanks for any help.

Is that all of it? :/

Not sure if this should be in Retail forum or the General Questions thread, but here's your answer.

There are 4 El Hazard animation projects:
El Hazard - The Magnificent World (OAV) (original OAV)
El Hazard 2 - The Magnificent World (OAV) (sequel)
El Hazard: The Alternative World (TV) (sequel to 2)

El Hazard: The Wanderers (TV) (alternate retelling)

Personally, I didn't like The Wanderers. And you very much need the first two OAV before watching The Alternative World.

If you can find it, what you want to start with is the "El Hazard - The Magnificent World Boxed Set", which has both of the OAV.

El Hazard - The Magnificent World OVAs and The Alternative World are out of print. Amazon Marketplace does have some sellers offering the OVA boxed set, if you see a price you like. RightStuf has a quantity remaining countdown on Alternative World, so grab one before it's gone.

As Dessa said, The Wanderers is a standalone series, but the OVAs lead into Alternative World.

Thank you guys very much and sorry about not putting this in the right section of the forum; I forgot about that.

I've gotten Alternative World and Wanderers from RightStuf. Now I just need to spend an arm and a leg for the original Magnificent World. Ha.

Geneon also released El Hazard the Magnificent World 1 & 2 on 3 single DVDs during their last days in 2007. If you can find them, they would also be an option:

release#8849
release#8879
release#10132
