Is the Wii U still supposed to cost something in the $500 range? I suspect it's still easier to buy a PS3 and play the Little Big Planet games for a better experience minus the licensed characters.
Is anyone here excited about the Wii U? I haven't met anyone yet that is...

$400. According to Nikkei.
The launch lineup looks underwhelming and worst, Nintendo's 1st party lineup is absolutely pitiful.

Nintendo never said that. In fact, on Nintendo Japan's website, they posted a notice that Nikkei's report was based on "conjecture" and was full of mistakes. Apparently there's a translated version of Andria Sang. Until Nintendo says something, anything else is just rumor and hearsay. I don't mean any disrespect, but I prefer to hear it from Nintendo themselves. In any case, I suspect that Nintendo hasn't announced a price or a(n exact) release date because they don't want to repeat the mistakes they made when the Nintendo 3DS launched. In other words, they want to get it right this time.
Going back to Nintendo Land. I'm willing to give it a try. After all, you can't go wrong with amusement parks (at least I don't think so)...

I'm excited about the Wii-U. But thats because i'm a Nintendo Fanboy, which apparently in some circles means i'm not a real gamer so my interests/opinions don't matter (seriously modern gamers can be just horrid!) But yeah, i'm fairly excited for the system, not as much as I was for the original Wii, but i'll defiantly be looking forward to getting one. Although admitingly i'm more interested in Nintendo's 3DS panel they are having tomorrow night over the one they had today.

I'm excited as well, and I believe that the launch line-up is pretty strong, considering both first-party and third-party games.
Nintendo Land could become one of the most underrated games ever, unfortunately... let's wait and see what happens, though!
