Hello all this is my first post on this forum and I hope that it will be a good one.

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally think that the new DBZ game is one of the best DBZ games (if not the best and I have played almost all the DBZ games) ever created. I also think that it is cool that they are using the American voice actors in the game.
I'm saddened thought that they didn't make a DBZ rpg for the PS2 first. Crying or Very sad

I'll rent it soon. I've been unsure about ever playing a DBZ game again since Final Bout. Right now I've been playing a lot of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance... Now that's a good fighing game.

I have it and the World Tournament drives me nuts. Everybody is trying to knock me out to the ring. At least I finally got to advance. The only thing I really wish they did with this game was putting in a Japanese langage (Then again, you lose out on about half the character and the Cell Saga.), but atleast have Cha La Head Cha La as an opening theme and NOT Rock the Dragon. If they are going remake the Japanese Opening atleast use the song that comes with it. Evil or Very Mad Ohhhhh well. Mr. Satan in atleast (but they had to give his edited name, Hercule Rolling Eyes ) It's one of the best DBZ games out there, but I like the good old 2-D Fighter ones.

Down here in Australia. Our version is actually Japanese with English subtitles :D
Quite odd when there is an english dub available. But this does explain why we got the game a few days before you people in the USA.

To be fair, Cha La Head Cha La reeks of 80s male J-Pop.

Of course, Rock the Dragon reeks of 90s cheap, commercialized metal, so it's not exactly better. :p

To be honest, Budokai didn't have far to go to be the best DBZ game out there. The others were pretty much half-a**ed Capcom clones. It needed to be the best fighter out there to impress me. The battles, eh, not fast enough to capture the feel of the series (Virtua Fighter 4 fights shouldn't move faster than DBZ fights). The character models seem rushed, and are riddled with jaggies, which detracts from what little detailing they do have. Quite frankly, I'm going to keep waiting for the console release of Soul Caliber 2, and keep playing Dead or Alive 3. Budokai is mediocrity in my eyes, and mediocrity isn't enough to get me excited about a fighting game. (I say that because I can stand mediocrity in many other genres of gaming, in fact I've played Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero to death)

IMO, they really need to make one similar to either Smash Brothers or Power Stone, that would really resemble the show.
