I love the psychosis in that song.
My dad hates it though. He caught me listening to it and was like "eeeuuuuuurrrrrgggggghhhh" So I pretend to hate it in front of him. But I actually like it. lol And this is genius http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igVHf6ATQcM |

I love that song!! It is so good, a bit trashy and pointless, but still catchy.
The video is great too. |

Don't forget the screamo version of Crank Dat Anyways I like the type of music that they play in the 2nd DN opening and its even better with the cool visuals, but the music they play is definitely an acquired taste for some people, myself included. |

I only read the first page of this thread...but damn there's a severe amount of misinformation being passed around.
Spoilers: The song isn't metal, let alone death metal. The riffs, the structure, the vocals, the rhythm/percussion, the bass... NOTHING about it is death metal. |

Yeah, it has a lot more similarity to Metalcore... but to the average layman it's just metal. Point is though that it is edgy and kinda harsh sounding, WHICH I LOVE. So much so that I went out and bought the album with the song on it, and the entire album rocks, it isnt just that whole "metal" thing the whole way through there are elements of J-pop and rap in there too, it's great.
In any event, I think the song chosen for the opening really fits the later half the series as so many others have said. |

I thought the second opening of death note was way too loud, it almost tore my bloody ears in half when i tried to listen to it with earphones.

The song unlike what people say, is straight metal, no "death" involved at all.
Personally I love the song, It the first song I play everyday when I turn my car on. I love the way people look at me when its on, some hate it but others find it interesting when they look into the car, "they're like OMG, its a black guy listening to metal!" |

the song "what's up people?" does use the f-word in the line "Hey hey ah ningen sucker ah nigen ningen f**ker". Also, if you have seen the dub you'll know that they subed the lyrics at the bottom and they labeled it as "Subservient Human", I think that's funny.

I like it. But, admittedly, I listen to Maximum the Hormone's other songs more often.
"What's Up, People!?" scared me when I first heard it. I had t ear it on Youtube because it was stuck in my head, and got used to it... |
