Well, according to good ole Wiki, the bôa members are all English, Jasmine (the lead singer) is the guitarist's sister and it's said that they're the children of British classic rock singer Paul Rodgers.

Ah, yes. Rie fu has made several versions of her songs in english. My personal favorite is Decay! Also, the second ED of Vandread "Yes, Together" is sung in english and very good english at that. |

Complete English songs I heard:
- Red Fraction by MELL (Black Lagoon OP) - it's not too bad. Sometimes you can even block the lyrics out and pretend they're Japanese...that's until they say "Ride on the fire, Ride on the power". - Hybrid Rainbow by The Pillows, covered by Bump of Chicken - It's okay. - Break of Dawn by Do As Infinity - Baaaad pronounciation. - why or why not by interface - Meh. |

Nana's first OP has some amusing Engrish. Although, it's slightly annoying because it's so engrishy that you can't even make out what they're singing in some parts.

Bloody Train, by Siam Shade. The lyrics are great, but Hideki doesn't stand out for his pronounciation (I think Kazuma has a better English pronounciation in that song) |

Oh man, I PITIED the subbers while I was watching the first OP. It was so funny the way they'd switch back and forth between lyrics from episode to episode, like they couldn't make up their minds x) Hmm....My favorite Engrish songs both have Paku Romi in them, 'cause she's amazing. There's Good! which is a character song from FMA (Ed, Al, Winry, Maes, and Roy singing together, it's cute!), and the Engrish in it is hysterical. Particularly the first line: Actual line: Good bye! Mata ashita ima nara egao de we can say! Sounds like: Good bye! Mata ashita ima nara egao de we can't sing! And then the Ed/Al chorus: Actual line: Good walk! Arukidasou ame nochi hare nara no problem! Good day! hareta nara sora o miagete over the rainbow! Unless you look at the lyrics, it's almost impossible to tell what they're saying. Then there's Get Real from Matantei Loki Ragnarok. My favorite song ever, but the English words are just incredibly badly pronounced. Fortunately, the way Paku-sama rolls her R's when they should be L's actually sounds kinda cool. Another FMA character theme with bad English is Ano Yume no Mukou he by Kugimiya Rie (Al). It's such a pretty song, but there's one line where she's supposedly saying "I'm not afraid to go for a sail", but it comes out "Ai no furei to ngo foa sei". -thinks- Oh, and then Lost Heaven by L'arc-en-Ciel. Another great song, but seriously, what the heck are they saying in the last two lines? I think it's something like I'm wishing good luck, and still remember every day? -needs to go look at the album booklet- Another song entirely in Engrish is The Dawn by Yuji Ueda. You can tell he's not singing in Japanese, but it's hard to make out that it's English. Especialy since there are lines about Waterloo in it for some reason O.o Lastly, there's Northern Lights, the second OP from Shaman King. Megumi Hayashibara does very well with the English in the main part of the song (and indeed with the English in every other song by her on that soundtrack), but the first line is just funny: KIMI NI TODOKE NOZA LAAAAAITS! |
