Gia's List: Anime's 7 Most Awkward Proposals

As for filler, my first two votes go out to Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (which added scenes to build character and atmosphere that weren't in the original book) and the second half of the original FMA anime. I also quite liked the anime-exclusive finale of Blue Exorcist.

Of course, spoiler[Reinhard's first proposal to Hilda via her father after their one night stand] was also pretty high up there on the awkwardness factor.

Is that R2? I still haven't seen the second season, and I get conflicted reports on whether it's great, decent, or awful. I guess it was divisive...?

Tis a crime that Hunter X Hunter's first series is not in that list. it has only one filler arc that I know of, however, It develops some of the side characters, provides an interesting situation and fits absolutely seamlessly into the story.

A Gecko Ending is not the same thing as filler. I can't say about Blue Exorcist, but the second half of the first FMA is nearly all vital plot episodes (it's the first half that has dead-ends, like the Psyren episode). It's just a different plot from the manga. But that is not filler.

I read the first Moribito novel, and the anime seemed to end the same way, even though it took a few non-canon detours to get there.

I thought you were responding to the other poster in the order that person had framed his/her post: Moribito, Blue Exorcist, then FMA. So.... I thought your first response was about Moribito. Sorry.

We need a "like" feature on ANN. Preferably one I can hit a hundred times. This proposal, from Legend of the Galactic Heroes, is simultaneously THE most awkward proposal EVER, and yet also one of the sweetest and most true-to-character.
