Pretty expected imo. And once again congrats to Reiji.

A part of me isn't surprised but a part of me also thinks by the end people will be wishing they'd just stopped at season 3.

Ah well, at least we'll get to see the girls in swimsuits animated.

Still have a Chizuru Mizuhara graphic on your car?

Sunk cost fallacy?

Sort feel the same way about watching it - if I do it will mostly be because I already watched the first three seasons.

Anyone watching into Season 4 deserves some ecchi as a reward.

So many better shows not getting sequels and other manga not getting adapted at all and here we are. Our long (multi)national nightmare continues...

I have to be honest; I don't get comments like this. Yes, Rent a Girlfriend has a negative reception among anime fans, and that's not changing anytime soon even after season 4 releases, but I just don't get these gloomy like comments that brings up other shows and manga.

It's not like getting another season of Rent a Girlfriend means some other anime and manga is getting ignored. After all we still have lots of good things coming like Witch Hat Atelier, second season of 100 Girlfriends, season three of One Punch Man, another season of Re:Zero, finale to Dr Stone, and remakes like One Piece, Ranma 1/2, and Magic Knight Rayearth.

I don't know. Maybe I just have a different wavelength. But I just don't think Rent a Girlfriend getting a 4th season means we'll never get an anime adaptation of Akane-Banashi or the second season of Frieren since Rent a Girlfriend has nothing to do with those series and the studios that adapts them.

A hate-watch still counts as a view. A scathing review still stirs conversation. Even though (or perhaps because) people hate this series so much, it continues to generate buzz. Those who watch this anime out of spite or post reviews to complain about it are indirectly contributing to the production of more seasons.

I only wish that 100 girlfriends (A better Harem protagonist and harem without a doubt ) would get as much seasons as this...so many good girls waiting to be introduced.

It's possible that we'll see more of 100 Girlfriends. From what I heard the merchandise has been selling well and with season 2 introducing more girlfriends that means more merchandise to sale.

There's also the promotional for season 2 that shows the accessories for future girlfriends as well from spoiler[Uto's hat, Tama's cat ear headband, Ahko's scrunchie, and Momoha's saki bottle]. It's possible that Studio Bibury might have plans on continuing the series after season 2 but I have no idea if we'll see them adapt further from there since they didn't show anything related to spoiler[Himeka and Matsuri] in the promotional (Not counting spoiler[Usa-chan and Meru] since they were revealed after season 1 ended and spoiler[Meru] was introduced before the exhibition). For all we know they might just adapt up to meeting spoiler[Tama] and ending at spoiler[Rentarou proposing to his girlfriends and they now become fiances].

This is all speculation obviously but I'd like to believe that they will continue. Especially since there are so many great girls that it would be a disservice not to animate them.

Rent a Girlfriend SELLS. That’s why it keeps getting new seasons and even a new videogame. Out of all the romcoms out now, the girls from RaG are at the top when it comes to moving merchandise.

Romcoms rarely make it to 4 seasons. This is the reason why RaG has. Expect a 5th season or even a 6th to possibly wrap it up. Assuming the manga ends anytime soon.

It’s funny too, comments that are trashing the show is probably getting people who have no idea about it to watch it as well. Giving it more attention. I know I’ll be watching now for sure being quite curious about what the hell is even the big deal good or bad.
