What's the similarity between Fuu and Fuko, other than they both have Fu in their romanized names?

Correct.

New quote. From the dub, which just reorders what's said in the subs:
Character A: “Hmmm, that’s weird.”
Character B: “What do you mean?”
Character A: “I don’t feel like barfing at all anymore thanks to that flat chest of yours.”
Character B: “I’m glad I could help!”

Hint #1: Even though other characters present described the triggering incident as sexual harassment, Character B was hardly being sarcastic with her second line; in fact, she was chirpily happy.

Char. A is Laharl, Char. B is Flonne, Anime is Disgaea. Context: It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, Laharl just did a faceplant into Jennifer's big chest. I think her sexiness is more than he can handle and it sickens him. His antidote is Flonne's pettanko build.

Correct! That series have a handful of good scenes out of 12 episodes, and that was one of them.

Next up is from the subs:
"You've shown me the rough stone you've just cut from the rock. You've worked hard. You're wonderful. There's no need to rush now. Take your time and polish it."

Hint No. 1: The speaker uses digging out and polishing gemstones as a metaphor encouraging the addressee to uncover and polish her talents.

Hint No. 2: The skill the speaker is encouraging in his young friend to polish is her interest in writing. Because the main character is a doll at the speaker's shop, she promised he'd be the first to read her story.

I worry I'm being unintentionally vague when I don't get any guesses on a quote. Hopefully this hint will clear things up.
Hint No. 3: The well-dressed, feline doll that addressee makes a character in her story also stars in a spinoff movie from the same studio. The doll is very important to the speaker, because it reminds him of the past.

I haven't seen it but your hints seem to fit what I know of it. Could it be Mr Nishi to Shizuku Tsukishima in Whisper of the Heart?

Thanks
From the dub
A: Hey there, pretty good shooting. Oh! Look out!
B: So, are you alone? Maybe we can have a little fun together?
A: Virtual fun doesn’t really turn me on. I want the real thing, Babe.
From the sub
A: You’re pretty good. Here they come!
B: Are you alone? Why don’t we play together?
A: I much prefer the real thing to virtual reality.

Faye to Lee Sampson, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Context is that he has just played a virtual reality shooting game when Faye pulls a real gun on him.

That's Faye Valentine to Lee Sampson in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie.
