I picked up these guy's albums and i must say i'm very impressed. If you are not familiar with them they did the second opening and ending for Death Note, and I would like to encourage anyone who is a fan of hard rock, metal, or rapcore to pick these guys up they have some kicking riffs and melodies.

god i love this band. after hearing the Death Note op/ed, i decided to check out the rest of their stuff... now i consider them to be one of my faves. they are one of the few "True" rock bands i have heard out of Japan. i wouldn't call them rapcore at all, they are more hardcore if anything. just listen to their stuff on Rokkinpo Goroshi.

I first heard of them when I was watching Akagi (I didn't like that song though), but I didn't take notice until they did the Death Note OP/EDs.
Then I branched off to their other songs, and the rest they say, is history. Personally my favourite songs from them are Zetzubo no Billy and Koi no Megalover. I also kind of like the song that's also the ED for Air Master. |

Awesome band. I learned about them through Death Note too. I didn't care much for the first set of OP/ED but Maximum the Hormone's songs were really good.

I thought Maximum the Hormone opening and ending for Death Note was good too. After checking out their website and seeing some of their pictures, I think it would be awesome to see them live. I bet they put on a great show. I checked out some of their music videos they were very good as well especially Zetsubou Billy.

I'm not that big on hard rock, but will gladly admit that I enjoy listening to their OP for Death Note. It's quite the headbanger, I must say!

Yeah, it is indeed a group that rocks through Japan. I was surprised when Futoshi Uehara is already 31 years old, and she's the oldest band member on the group, for me she's already a fantastic drummer.
Thanks to Air Master and especially Death Note to revive this band. Sure they're great and I did recommend J-rock to all my friends and totally liked it and after that they are now doing the head banging stuffs when hearing songs of MtH especially the OP on Death Note. My favorite music video is rolling1000toon damn they're great, care watching their enthralling fighting skills? |

This band is legendary, I listen to them everyday, especially Zetsubou Billy and Shimi.

I sixth (or whatever) the motion that this group is awesome! I just got Buiikikaesu (from Ohayocon, any of you there?), and I'm shocked that they might just become my favorite band. I haven't yet heard a weak song on this album. I get a lot of cds because I'll hear a great song in anime and want more of the same, but 99% of the time I'm somewhat disappointed because the anime song(s) seem to be the best of the bunch and everything else pretty much filler. This is the very first album where that was not the case at all. Every song is wonderful, and none seem to be just thrown in to take up space. I'm just blown away. I'm not even sure what to type because I'm so taken aback.
I first heard them in DN, and I admit my initial reaction was cringing. I NEVER NEVER EVER listen to music that wild/hardcore/"noise"y ( . . . although I do have several Dir en Grey cds--but that was more recent  and I'm not sure what I think of them). After I heard the songs many times though, I realized "Gee, this really is really good isn't it? Hmm".
Now I realize I cannot recommend them enough. I'm currently staying in front of my computer in part because don't want to stop listening to the album a complete second time in a row. Gosh, what else is there to say except they sound amazing. Now, I literally never listened to music or radio before I got into j-music, so I'm really ignorant as to genres. When loaded it into iTunes the genre came up as "alternative & punk." I've never been able to say what kind of music it was that I liked other than the over-broad "rock". Is alternative/punk an approppriate name for this type of music? I want to know what to call the music I like! 
And I can't believe I haven't really heard of them before at all. It seems they've been around a few years, but they never seem to get mentioned. I wonder if they're sort of slow to put out music, so they're name won't come up that frequently or something. Any recommendations as to who sounds similar? I can't say I've ever heard this exact sound before, and I desperately want to find it again. |

I LOve this band!
I've really never liked metal and growling and stuff but when I heard the second ending for Death Note I just loved it(But not the second opening though, that sucks)! After a while I started to search for more of their music and I love it!

Ah, I've heard "What's Up, People?" when I was watching Death Note. They are excellent! The lyrics struck at me the most, it's kinda like Linkin Park with more angst and yelling. Lot's of yelling.
