They are concerned about novel sales first and foremost. Disc sales don't matter that much to them as far as I can tell. It's also at least part of the reason we haven't seen more Haruhi anime.

I know and a last FMP anime was 8 years.Surely there must be a lot of new audience that didn't watch or read FMP.With FMP novels and mangas popping out a lot I thought Kadokawa would create a new anime that would promote these novels.
