I am really happy that the cast and a timeframe for the release of Ouran has been announced. I am also happy that it will be released in boxsets. However, I was disappointed that Laura Bailey wasn't listed in the cast list.

Holding out for thinpacks for the series due to space issues, but I did pick up the movie, and as far as I'm concerned he nailed Watanuki - not an easy feat as he's a rollercoaster of a character - and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does with the material in the series. It will be interesting to see what he does with Hikaru as well. Looks like the casting includes a number of results that were on alot of people's wish lists as we discussed it for months. And two half-series boxes, the first coming in only three months? Most excellent! If Funi makes them thins to save our shelf space, they'll officially be my heroes. |

It's about bloody time they announced the cast. Funi's promised this for how long now?
And I KNEW Vic was going to get Tamaki. I'm really looking forward to hearing what he does. |

Hmm, I believe he plays Itsuki in the Shuffle dub and after hearing that, the voice sounds like he should do well as Hikaru. I guess. Vic as Tamaki... eh, don't really care. Kinda expected. |

Oh gee, thanks for reminding me the guy's a freakin' closet homophobe and likes to utter god more times than I can count stars. I was trying to ignore the fact that Ouran does have the Yaoi subtleties.... |

Releasing the series in boxset format is a good compensation for those who have been on their toe for an entire year for news on the dub cast and date release. I already have the R2 release of the first 16 episode, so I think I'll only go for the second boxset.
Nice dub cast, I was kind of hoping that Laura Bailey will be playing Haruhi, but I have confidence that Ms. Glass will do a good job. |

As a conservative Christian, that didn't bug me...at first. It's the fact that he seems to express his opinions in such a way that make him sound...well, like a jerk and an idiot. Which only makes it harder as a Christian to be in anime fandom. Particularly when I do ship a few yaoi pairings. Besides, if he's a good actor he's a good actor, even if he has a horrible habit of stuffing his foot into his mouth. |

Personally, I think people blow a lot of Vic's comments out of proportion but then I don't obsessively catalogue everything he says and disect it either, so perhaps I'm missing the juicy stuff. Regardless, let's just enjoy the English dub (for those of us who are capable of doing so) and buy the DVDs when they come out to support the coolness of the series. If Vic really bugs anyone, hey, there's always the Japanese track. |

I'm honestly not really familiar with much of Vic's work, so I'm glad to get the opportunity to hear it.
I'm also really glad that they decided to have two actors voicing the twins, like was done in the Japanese. But I do hope that they are able to have similar voices still, because they are supposed to be hard to tell apart and all (I honestly thought it was one person voicing them in Japanese for a long time). Yay for release dates. That is the best news I've had for awhile, I can't wait to own this series! I'm especially glad that it will be two half-season boxes, instead of singles, so I don't have to wait as long

I happened to just leave for a July 4th party at this time... Oh well. I was rooting for Vic to get Tamaki! Congratulations for Vic. =) I had a feeling Caitlan would get Haruhi. Good job to her. Great cast! Looking foward to the dub! |

I will buy this as soon as Right Stuf puts the preorder up. But I won't watch the dubs. The Ouran sub was a masterpiece the way it was. But I'm still happy we have a release date after waiting about a year since the license was announced.

No offense tended, but um its statements like this that make me want to cry, seriously this is exaclty why I didn't want Vic any where near Tamaki because now instead of dealing with Ouran stuff at con's when we go to an offical Ouran panel or somthing that the voice actors may be present at, we will have to deal with all you FMA fans who will litterly take over the fandome just to spread your FMA love. Not to mention I am getting sick already of all the OOHHHH Ed and Winery are so awesome and now likes compare them to Haruhi and Tamkai...Please stop, Ed and Winery are nothing like Tamaki and Haruhi, and could never be like them, so stop with the comparisions, please you guys are going to ruin the Ouran fandom for the majority of the older fans who don't care about FMA at all, so please just keep the FMA talk out of the OURAN fandom. Like I said no offense, but I see it happening already and I am sick of it, can all you FMA fans please remember that Vic and Catlin did and are doing other shows, and that to some people (majority of Ouran fans I know) don't even like FMA and are going to be upset to have to deal with the downfall of this. Now that I am done with that statement, which is more then likely going to get me flamed, I must say I am unhappy with this also because I really don't think Vic suits Tamaki at all. I think he would have better cast as Nekozawa, and Catlin sounds way to girley to play Haruhi, seriously her talent would have been better suited for Honey or maybe even Renge. Speaking of Renge, someone earlier send she was played by Monica Riel but I checked the cast and it doesn't say that, so where are you getting your information? I have nothing against miss Reil, I don't even know who she is, I was just wondering if this was true can she do the laugh? I hope so. |
