Saying fanservice = bad anime is a baseless argument. It doesn't make something good by any means, but just a bit of fanservice doesn't have to hurt a series and I imagine they use it to draw certain types of people in.
Disliking fanservice does not give you some moral high ground, all you need to be able to do is see the line where generic fanservice crosses into excessive fanservice and decide for yourself if you think it negatively affects the series as a result. Some series don't suffer from it, but most plot driven ones tend too. The problem I've had with Kyoani is that I tend to have little to no interest in an all-one-gender-moe anime. Hence I never watched K-on, Tamako market was simply too moe-blob for me too. Hell the only reason Chuu2 gets away with it is because it suits her character to try and do cool things only for them to land her on her ass. Even if Free were 100% girls I'd still dislike it, but I know that other people will so w/e. I just want KyoAni to make a more serious or interesting show, to go along with that fanservice show. Which is what they could be doing here so I look forward too it. Also, for whoever said Hyouka was bland. The show is interesting because it's not so OTT, the art is nice and the characters are created well. If you don't like it then /care, but it's not a bad show by any means. |

It also requires him to contort himself into pretzels to excuse the fanservice in the shows he likes, while still using it to bash other shows. Not to mention hilariously vague accuations like "weird camera angles". Plus the obligatory accuations of masturbation, as if that is at all relevant to this discussion. (seriously, why are you guys so obsessed with other people's masturbation habits? That, THAT is creepy) |

True, but they have a right to post there opinion on here. And typing/telling what you feel is the best medication. I could post something negative on Attack on Titan story, music, or animation wise on a thread related too it and I would probably have a highschool (roughly 3000 in my highschool before I graduated) load of people popping a brain vessel and tossing junk at me. But it would be my opinion that I can express (its not really mine right now since I'm still undecided. Just a example ). And if I just keep it sealed inside, when I talk about it latter. It would become a burst open dam of emotion than a hint of that and main course of reasoning, with the dam example making me sound like a bais person.
I'm not angry at your post, I'm just speaking my mind without sealing it in a tiny bottle.

I have one problem with KyoAni recently, their characters look almost the same, the same old design. Even if the story's good, it's kind of sick to look at the same type of design they pulled out. Free! is an exception.

You know what, I bet you know a lot of anime under those things you listed had barely mediocre sales. Also do tell me that you believe in/preach the notion that ALL KyoAni anime needs to make more than 20k sales in discs just because their budget is imaginarily exorbitant.
