Regardless of your opinion on it, anyone else find these songs infectious?

Well, any opening song that isn't even slightly based on the Japanese theme is already pretty lame to begin with. I'm not looking for some random company's rebranding of a show. It already has a theme, that's the song, either make a dubbed version, or cut the opening altogether.

Admittedly, I don't mind Ronin Warriors' theme. THE POWER'S IN THE ARMOR. It's no "Stardust Eyes", though.

Maybe I'm confused; but I'm surprised that that this Rave Master monstrosity didn't get a dishonorable mention.

For me, the one that really should be on this list is the DBGT rap by Funi.

Jeez and lord mercy, compared to the original, that one was cringe worthy.

I mean, I would gladly take any songs on this list over this one.

Ahh, the Cardcaptors theme...

So, Pokemon rip-offish, yet so nostalgic.

Of course, nothing beats the original OP song.
Original OP is just awesome.

Err...an admin like to explain why this 3 year-old article has been posted? I mean, it's fine to post an old article if we're not getting a new one this week (classic ANNCasts come to mind), but some heads-up should be in order.

For "dub" songs which are not really dubbed but actually made from scratch, DiC actually put out a Sailor Moon CD with their own created music songs:

And I actually own that CD.
I had never watched Sailor Moon dubbed until the recent Viz release, but about 10 or 12 years ago I was buying all of the Sailor Moon music that I could find, even if it was not really Sailor Moon music.
I listened to the CD only one time. It was not bad, but not good enough to make me want to listen to it again, not when I had so much of the real thing to choose from.

I liked a lot of the dubbed songs and kind of miss them. With most DVDs I could switch to the Japanese audio and listen to the original if I wanted to.

I enjoyed some of the dubbed songs, such as those for Kiddy Grade and Blue Gender, at least as much as the originals.
I thought that the dubbed songs for Magic Knight Rayearth were decent. In my opinion Sandy Fox can sing. She is not as good as the Japanese singers, but she is not bad.

At first I was impressed; 200 comments on such a recent article?

Then I thought maybe I'd seen this one before...

I have fond memories of the Cardcaptors opening. It's in no way better than any of the Japanese opening themes but it always got me pumped for the show and I would chant along with the background singers as they called out the names of the cards. Laughing

The Mew Mew Power Dub OP has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I can't watch it without smiling and laughing while enjoying it all of the same.

Yeah it was dude, I wrote that in before I reposted the article.

We're figuring out how better to repost this stuff - should be smoother sailing next time.
