Oh! I never knew that! I never even got to see the first episode of Kirby! Anyway...I guess 4Kids is learning from their mistakes and being fateful to the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's series now?

I believe 4Kids can produce decent dubs as long as the Japanese don't intervene at every corner like they did in a notorious show. For example, I'm sure SEGA didn't expect much from Dinosaur King, so it was faithful, to the point of having some Japanese BGM remaining.

Ooohhhhhh, yeah...That's the other problem. I forgot about that. Did 4Kids leave the Japanese BGM in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, for those that saw the first episode at Comic-Con?

Yugioh 5Ds is so perfect

The original manga was so perfect. Everything else is just an attempt at an adapted spinoff. (some more successful than others...)

hmm I've seen snippets of fan subs and to me the anime seems a lot darker then the previous ones though I'm not going to hold my breath on "good" quality

I'm not sure you can get much darker than the first one.

He's called Jack Atlus in the Japanese version, but Jack Atlas in the English version...so it's really not a big deal. And he's not the main character, he's more like the antagonist. Yusei Fudo is the main character, and yes, his name is the same.

Where do you ever see his name spelled in English letters in the Japanese version? Are you talking about in the fan-made subtitles? The katakana I found for his name is read as "Jakku Atorasu" with is pronounced closer to 'Jack Atlas' than 'Jack Atlus.' What's the matter? They ran out of made-up names?

I don't believe so, though I think most of the cues were the same. For example, there was a whole four or five minute scene that had no BGM, which is pretty unusual for a 4Kids dub.

There's probably at least 20 instances within the first five minutes of episode one where you see his name spelled 'Jack Atlus' in English text.

Ahh the Kirby Franchise,The Kirby anime was alright, but it did'nt meet my standords for the perfect video game adaption, take it from a hardcore Kirby fan such as myself, who grew up with kirby, the show could have been better if only Kirby was the more focus center of attention and not those cappy children, same thing with Sonic X,they should have taken out the human. if you want a much better Video game adaption,I highly reccommend Bomberman Jetters, trust me,you'll love it Very Happy but hey, thats just my opinion.

anyway,I just hope the storyline of Yugioh 5D is'nt retarded and actually somewhat gets dark later on in the series.
