Glad to hear it. I really like and respect this series, though the Kickstarter release wasn't quite for me and I wasn't tempted by, well, any of the backer rewards. I'd begun collecting the series in Japanese before this project was announced, and I'll likely just finish that unless I decide to pick up the English release at a later date.

Of course it won't be! Coroners and Justice Act and whatnot!
(Still, it is not as if we have a functional government at the moment.)

Not interested in this at all, but glad to see it made it for those who want it. Hopefully this means they'll pursue other racy titles that no one thought would ever be licensed.

well.. let see how many copies they will sell
this might be similar to One Plus phones-- where you will buy directly from the company instead -- no retailers

You do know that DMP won't be printing that many extras, right? They're basically going to print enough to fill their orders and some slight overflow in the event some get lost in the mail. A couple people tried to add more books after the Orange Road DMP KS closed and DMP told them they were SOL.

Very ecstatic that the KnJ Kickstarter reached its goal! Now to see if it can reach that first stretch goal.

great news that this made its goal but I thought this would have been to either continue the series or make a spinoff thing not just to publish this in english. I'd like to see this continued in the future when the girls have their own kids and it focuses on them kind of thing. maybe this will lead to something like that, fingers crossed.

I for one hope it doesnt get a sequel. Not everything needs to run for 30 years and do a bunch of stupid pointless bullshit and go nowhere important. A story doesnt need to run forever but just be good at what it does for when it does it. Its a major reason i cant watch long running shounen or anything similar to that as they simply go nowhere and just spin their wheels and accomplish literally nothing. And much of the time those long running shows or manga end up drawing themselves out for so long they fizzle out or go on hiatus for years on end.
It drives me nuts and i wont have it. Short and sweet is the way to be.

*sigh* not again
Before this starts yet another flame war on the subject, I kindly suggest that you won't pursue the matter further.

Not sure if this was serious or not but I admittedly laughed quite a bit. Seriously though, this is why I wish people would give the series an honest chance. It's fine if you don't like Kodomo no Jikan, but at least avoid prejudice in your judgements of it.

Its a waste of breath to ask that of someone that is literally just trying to annoy people. Best to just ignore and move on since if you dont acknowledge the post they dont get a rise out of you responding to it.

Actually reading some of it is what convinced me to do this. Now keep that in mind and remember that an Australian man was once convicted of possessing child porn for parody images of The Simposons. Or the UK, New Zealand, and Canada where people have been arrested for lolicon. Importing this was always going to be a massive risk to people in those countries. And DMP not only didn't warn any potential backers, but tried to downplay what this contained. Even after I told them I contacted the police about this. If anyone reading this is in one of those countries, think long and hard about what you're risking. Because it's more than what DMP and fanboys are letting on.

Alright...mods? Is there anything you can do about this Fel Temp guy? I understand it is perfectly fine to have an opinion (albeit a misconstrued one), but it seems he/she is specifically trying to incite stuff. The user was in another KnJ article comment section with similar behavior.

Perhaps you're right. I'm not really upset or anything, but really I do wish more people would give the series an honest try. Besides, I was amused by his post anyway.

Actually reading some of it is what convinced me to do this. There's been a LOT of downplaying what this contains. Like a lot of people seem to think it's just some underage panty shots and maybe some nudity. I mean it's not constant sex scenes or anything, but it is the kind of series where you see things like an elementary schooler masturbate, one suck on another's breast, and one cum from her first tampon being inserted in a bizarre 3 page long scene. Even if you're fine with that, you need to remember that the whole anime/manga fandom is a bit of an insulated bubble. The vast, vast majority of people in even the US, regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum, would not be OK with this content.
Now keep that in mind and remember that an Australian man was once convicted of possessing child porn for parody images of The Simposons. I get why some people might not be comfortable with this content regardless of the content, but it's unfair to pull out the more unusual "scandalous" portions without the context of the story as a reflection of the work as a whole. I have no doubt that these scenes may tittilate some people and that the manga artist is aware and knows that she is sometimes pandering to lolicons; however, I maintain that this manga is very distinctive from even Simpson's parody porn, bc it is NOT pornography. There is a huge difference between something that is JUST porn and something that has some adult content within a non-pornographic piece of literature or art.
I suppose some countries may permit extreme censorship, but I would hope they could draw the same kind of obscenity distinction that the US does.
