It is interesting they are taking a risk with identical character designs in situations where a collection of certain stereotypes are ideally sought. 'Personalities' in these games seem to follow very specific formulas, paired with unique visuals to sell a product as a package deal. I don't think this will sell, unless they announce a collaboration, or if the game takes place on the moon or something. We've had pigeons, gods, idols, statues who are idols, etc. The scenario will have to be VERY interesting for this game to stand out in this market.

Considering they had to later censor themselves, I don't see why they should have to put up with people copying their stuff. I also feel there's also a difference between a parody/reference and a blatant copy trying to bank exclusively on an established hit series.
