Honestly I have no idea why Fairy Tail is getting a continuation it's ratings were crap, the only film bombed so hard in theater's they only sold it on disc with a manga volume cheap, the merchandise sales are low for a late night anime let alone a daytime.

Sounds like you hate fairy tail with a passion

Im looking forward to this, the manga is still popular, and who gives a fudge of the ratings, just enjoy it.

And is that really true about the movie being sold with manga? Or was it a special addition?

The anime had to be good if they decided to go for more than 50 episodes.

The manga is popular. Anime promotes the manga even further.

It's not that shocking when you remember most anime exist as a form of advertising/infomercial.

Stick to the manga...
It isn't ideal to have to read something in mostly detailed, black and white panels or have it with animation, colour, sound but censorship to match the channel and time slot but that's how it goes.

Dragon Ball got another shot on air through Kai and the work was notably more censored in comparison to both the original anime and manga. Fairy Tail is highly unlikely to get an version which has blood where the manga addressed and used it as a important factor ever.

Looks good... But is this continuing where they left off, because it looks like a whole new story?

You're either not up-to-date or you've been hanging out with Patrick Star.

I'm super hyped, but not a fan of the OP as much as I like BoA. Just doesn't fit the series imo.

Nice to hear BoA's voice (nice song BTW). I would like to see her making a Korean comeback. Smile

Except that the manga sales after the initial increase with the first year of the anime they then fell for the next 3 while the anime was running.

A new series after only a year isn't going to increase sales.

October 12, 2009 – March 30, 2013

2009 - 2,886,942
2010 - 5,739,526
2011 - 4,701,596
2012 - 4,128,665
2013 - 3,790,151
