Nice to see that Suhsio is still alive ,and the synopsis reminded me a bit of Utena.I also really like the fact that Kazuki Nakashima is writing the script so I dont have to worry about Imaishi being completely insane.

Sucks this has Aniplex behind it. Oh well.

Cool character designs though. More importantly, it's good to see GL's writer is back.

Also why in the world would those two shows come to mind?

Yeah, I'm not going to lie. The first promo with a school girl with a red eye, made me roll my eyes. Made me think it was going to be another dumb girl anime. And well the premise still sounds sketchy. But with the GL writer on board and just actual faith in Trigger(Little Witch was pretty good) I have hope.

Kill La Kill...

Just the title tells you everything you need to know about this anime.

I just hope this is a TV series and not just a short OVA, movie, or web series, as much as I enjoyed Little Witch Academia and Inferno Cop.

LWA showed what Studio Trigger was capable of, so lets see if they can deliver with this.

To calm some fears, it's not some stock school-setting; it's an industrial, post-apocalyptic setting inspired by the Tower of Babel:

And the character designs look great:

(Sushio also confirmed there will be male characters.)

Which sounds great and all, but I'm hoping for some awesome yuri subtext between the two leads.

I'd prefer more than subtext but I know the chances of that are subterranean, so I'll take what I can get. Especially since this is probably the closest I'll ever get to a Hayate x Blade anime.

Aniplex, huh?

Looks like this will be another release I'll be importing from the UK or AU. I refuse to give Henry Goto a cent.

From a post I found on Twitter:

Quote:
Nakashima: "In Trigger terms, I think it will be a work that has Inferno Cop's soul and Little Witch Academia's attention to detail."

I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing about Hayate x Blade (why is Hayashibara hesitant about it being an anime series?) and maybe shades of Black Rock Shooter. Considering one will be using some sort of scissors blade as a weapon, I better see some scissoring action!

Ugh...no. There's enough yuri subtext in anime already. Either go all the way or don't go at all.

I actually enjoy yuri subtext; it allows for little fluffy PG-13 innuendo that's still safe to watch around family and things, whether then all of a sudden say, the two leads getting it on creating an awkward moment for everyone. I like to use my imagination.

I wouldn't mind that either, but getting one is more likely than the other.
