James Cameron does not do what James Cameron does for James Cameron.

James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron.

No ocean too deep, no budget too steep! Here he comes, James Cam-er-on!

I really want to believe that Cameron could--and will--raise the bar for LA anime movies.

Personally, I rather watch The Informationist then another Avatar film. From what I'm reading on Google Books, it seems rather interesting. I don't usually read thrillers but this seems worth my time.

No Battle Angel Alita still makes me sad though.

If you want to put a positive spin on this, you can always suppose that James Cameron is just waiting for technology to be even BETTER THAN EVER so that the movie can truly be made to its full potential. I mean come on, can you imagine if Avatar HAD been made 20 years ago?

YEA! Glass half full!

I wonder if he is somehow related to our PM David. He's another one what talks the talk, but can never walk the walk. Laughing

oh damn it all, james cameron come on already!!!! now he's just like tobey maguire! holding into the licensed rights to an anime and isnt doing jack shit with it!!! [for those who dont remember, maguire currently owns the rights to Robotech, and as long as he holds it, harmony gold cant do a sequel to Robotech - The Shadow Chronicles, which the sequel has already been named, Robotech - Shadow Rising] and now cameron is doing it with Battle Angel!! im to the point where i dont care if the adaption sucks, just as long as you dont pull this crap and hold onto the rights for years and wont do a damn thing with it, forcing other companies to wait on you to do something about it!!

In that case, I'll thank Tobey for keeping less Robotech from being made.

I thought he only had the live-action movie rights. You're telling me he has rights for all forms of adaptations?

I'm not aware of him having the rights to the Manga, unless VIZ is paying him royalties cause of that shit. Ditto for the Anime with Urban Vision.

Urban Vision never had the anime. It was released by ADV, who's rights lapsed some time ago. At the time, they stated that James Camerons rights for the movie were holding up any negotiations for the anime.

Urban Vision pretty much just has the second Vampire Hunter D movie, and hasn't actually released a disc in a couple of years.
