I guess another pseudonym here, as most of what Google returns on the given name alone seems to be this person. ENAMDICT shows a lot of entries with two-kanji given names ending with 暖 being "non". Maybe "Kinon" like the Gurren Lagann character?, but that reading only really turns up once as an actual name there... I did a rough count on given names from Wikipedia (removing clearly non-Japanese names, like the Three Kingdoms' Shuu Tai/Zhou Tai) and this was the count: Yasushi 14 Tai 10 Yutaka 9 Hiroshi 1 In any case, Hiroshi doesn't seem to be likely, and Yasushi wins by this method even if the other two appear enough to be probable. 動画:加藤孝史 (ep 1,5,7) KATOU Takashi/Takafumi Takashi Katō (since we have to guess) 第二原画:友田麻美 (ep 11) TOMODA Asami/Mami Asami Tomoda (again, since we have to guess) 原画:召成三言 (ep 4) ??? ??? Tetsu(ya/nari) Looking up the ending credits on Crunchyroll (since I was suspicious of the lack of Google hits), it looks like this is a transcription error. Again, why don't you just contribute these kanji exactly as they are and see what they get translated to? It was a matter of seconds to get:
作画監督:金沢比呂司 = Hiroshi KANAZAWA 原画:服部森樹朗 = Shinkirō HATTORI 原画:森可渡士 = Watashi MORIKA 原画:青鉢芳信 = Yoshinobu AOHACHI (with Houshin AOHACHI apparently being a duplicate having only 1 credit) CG:朴昌楫 = the only one without an automatic kanji mapping as of now, and I'm not even sure this is a Japanese name at all. |

The only one is: 朴昌楫 which is an Korean name and can have an Japanese mapping, for example: Boku Akira Kaji.
Tried testing it in Computer Sans Mono and jGaramond, and jGaramond + Computer Sans Mono have the Batang used for these two fonts! Here is another example! I don't really like doing this. If someone is credited under a different name, that's the name that should be used even if it's an odd one-off alias (and then the alias should be connected to the main person). Of course it's difficult with a case like this where we don't know the name reading, but he did use that name in at least one other series according to the source. Does anyone happen to have Slayers Revolution on DVD (R1) and can check episode 9's key animation credits? FUNi only has the first two episodes of the dub (which would probably contain the translated credits) on their website but they've expired so I can't even tell if they translated the key animator section with their credits or not. If we're going to create an entry, I'd like to use whatever name has been used on an official release at least. |
